Dakota Mayi Johnson was born on October 4, 1989, in Austin, Texas. Growing up, Johnson was surrounded by celebrities. Her parents, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith were some of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars of the 1980s. Her maternal grandmother is also actress Tippi Hedren.
